Senior Salute Week: Kick-off Nov 2

Save the Date!

The La Habra Move More, Eat Healthy Collaborative is excited to announce the first Senior Salute Week! The mission of the Collaborative, which consists of the City of La Habra, and various nonprofit, faith-based, and community based organizations, is to improve the health and wellness of the La Habra community.

What is Senior Salute Week?

Senior Salute Week is a chance for our community to honor adults ages 55 and over, and their caregivers. Each day during this special week, we will have classes, entertainment or activities at different places throughout our city. Seniors will have an opportunity to attend a health fair, learn about retirement planning, and attend a Senior Prom.

Senior Health Fair

Join us on Wednesday, November 2 as we kick-off the week with the Senior Health Fair at the La Habra Community Center. Check our website for more details in the coming months.

During Senior Week, we plan to:

  • Offer ways for younger and older people to work together to make this event a huge success.
  • Link seniors and caregivers with local resources that cater to their needs.
  • Provide information that promotes health among seniors and caregivers.
